Assistant Account Executive

Blue C is an integrated creative and digital marketing agency based in Costa Mesa, California. We help brands grow through strategic thinking, compelling creative, and data\-driven marketing across digital, social, video, and traditional media.
We’re looking for a highly organized, motivated Assistant Account Executive (AAE) to support our Account Services team in managing client projects and marketing campaigns. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about marketing, enjoys coordinating projects, and wants to grow within a fast\-paced agency environment.
The Assistant Account Executive supports day\-to\-day client communications and project coordination, with a strong focus on video production, creative campaigns, and digital media initiatives, including social media, paid media, and website development.
Role Overview
The Assistant Account Executive works closely with Account Executives and creative teams to help execute marketing campaigns efficiently and accurately.
This role helps ensure that client objectives are translated into actionable plans and that projects move smoothly from concept through production and delivery.
The ideal candidate is detail\-oriented, organized, proactive, and eager to build a career in advertising and digital marketing.
Key Responsibilities
Client Communication \& Account Support
- Assist Account Executives with day\-to\-day client communications.
- Help prepare meeting agendas, status updates, and recap notes.
- Coordinate project timelines, deliverables, and approvals.
- Conduct marketing research and assist with client presentations.
- Maintain project documentation and communication records.
- Support client meetings and status calls as needed.
- Assist with the agency’s marketing initiatives as needed.
- Support and assist the Account Service team with related duties as needed.
- Assist with developing and scheduling social media content calendars.
- Support coordination of email marketing campaigns.
- Ensure messaging aligns with brand voice and campaign objectives.
- Monitor engagement trends and report insights to the account team.
- Stay informed on social media best practices and platform updates.
- Assist with the coordination of paid media campaigns across social, search, display, and CTV.
- Work with media planners to confirm campaign details, including targeting, budgets, and creative specs.
- Monitor campaign pacing and flag delivery issues.
- Help gather performance data for campaign reporting and optimization.
- Assist in compiling digital marketing performance reports.
- Track key campaign metrics
- Support the preparation of client presentations and performance summaries.
- Assist in preparing creative briefs, timelines, and production schedules.
- Help coordinate internal teams to meet deadlines and deliverables.
- Serve as traffic
- Assist with copywriting and proofreading as needed
- Track revisions, approvals, and final deliverables.
- Maintain organized project documentation and version control.
- Assist with coordinating photo and video shoots as required.
- Source vendor quotes and manage production logistics as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Advertising, or related field, or equivalent experience is required.
- Two years of experience in advertising and marketing. Agency experience is preferred but not required.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
- Detail\-oriented with strong follow\-through.
- Working knowledge of digital marketing and social media platforms.
- Ability to analyze campaign performance data and communicate insights.
- Proactive problem\-solving mindset and accountability.
- Strong copywriting and proofreading skills
- Basic understanding of digital and print production
- Light travel may be required

- Paid Media Platforms: Meta Ads Manager
- Analytics: Meta Analytics, platform insights dashboards
- Scheduling Tools: Later, Hootsuite, or similar social media management tools
- Project Management Systems: Agency workflow tools or task management platforms
- Email Marketing Platforms: MailChimp, Klaviyo, or equivalent platforms
- Proficient in all MS Office applications
- Proficient in Mac
- Proficient in Google Drive, Docs, and Sheets
- Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite is a plus
