Mental Health Therapist / Counselor – Maryland (Hybrid)

The Opportunity

New Connections Counseling Center is looking for a licensed therapist in Maryland to join our team of 7 clinicians. We are a feminist\-informed, LGBTQ\+ affirming group practice in Baltimore’s Hampden neighborhood, and we take our work seriously while maintaining a culture where humor, authenticity, and mutual support are the norm.

Who You Are

You’re a warm, engaged clinician who is excited about being part of a team. You bring strong clinical skills and genuine curiosity about your clients. You’re looking for a practice that treats you like a professional, not a billing unit.

We’re especially interested in therapists with experience or training in:

• Trauma\-informed modalities (EMDR, Brainspotting, TF\-CBT, Somatic Experiencing)
• Neurodivergence (ADHD and/or Autism spectrum)
• OCD treatment using Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP)
• Adolescent therapy
• Couples therapy (if you don’t have this experience, we will support you in your training)
• Sex therapy

You don’t need to check every box. If you bring depth in one or two of these areas and genuine enthusiasm, we want to talk to you.

What You’ll Do

• Carry a caseload of individual clients and couples (minimum 10 sessions per week, with steady referrals to help you build)
• Provide therapy primarily in\-person at our Hampden office, with telehealth flexibility
• Participate in peer consultation and team case discussions
• Maintain timely, thorough clinical documentation
• Pursue continuing education aligned with your clinical interests
• Opportunities to grow your professional visibility through the practice’s blog, social media, or community networking

Qualifications

• Master’s or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field
• Active Maryland license: LCSW\-C, LCPC, LMFT, Psy.D., Ph.D., or associate\-level (LMSW, LGPC, Psych Associate)
• Commitment to culturally responsive, affirming clinical practice
• Strong professional ethics, reliability, and follow\-through
• Comfort working in a collaborative, feedback\-oriented team environment

Compensation \& Benefits

Up to $125,000 for dedicated therapists with strong availability and high client retention (based on caseload; you control your growth). Full\-time is 23\+ sessions per week.

Session rates for fully licensed therapists: $80–$105/session depending on credentials and volume.

Associate\-level clinicians receive a competitive per\-session rate that reflects the free clinical supervision we provide.
