We are seeking a reliable and organized Program Support Clerk who takes pride in helping programs run smoothly and enjoys contributing to initiatives that support student success in Gary.
This role is ideal for an experienced administrative professional or a community member who is passionate about supporting youth programs and education.
Position Overview
The Program Support Clerk provides essential administrative and logistical support for programs that help students explore career pathways and strengthen academic performance. This role helps coordinate events, maintain program records, assist with student recruitment efforts, and support reporting that helps measure program impact.
This position works closely with program staff, students, and community partners to ensure activities and events are well organized and well supported.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide administrative and clerical support for program staff
- Assist with planning and coordination of events such as career fairs, student workshops, and career exploration activities
- Support student recruitment efforts for GAPS initiatives
- Maintain accurate program documentation and records
- Assist with data entry and reporting to support program evaluation
- Help prepare materials and communications for meetings and events
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Experience in administrative or clerical support roles preferred
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Proficiency with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides)
- Ability to work collaboratively with staff, students, and community partners
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks
- Ability to maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive information
- Monday–Thursday: On\-site at a Gary high school between 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM
- Friday: Virtual/remote administrative work
- 20 hours per week
- Occasional evening or weekend events may occur, but participation is optional.

Compensation
$18–$22 per hour, depending on experience
While this part\-time position does not include employer\-sponsored benefits, it offers an opportunity to contribute directly to programs that support the growth and success of Gary students.
