Job Summary
The HR Assistant provides comprehensive support to the Human Resources department and assists with general administrative operations of the organization. This role is responsible for maintaining employee records, supporting recruitment and onboarding, coordinating HR processes, and ensuring efficient day\-to\-day administrative functions. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail\-oriented, professional, and able to handle confidential information with discretion.
Duties
- Support new employee orientation programs and facilitate smooth onboarding processes to ensure new hires are welcomed and well\-informed.
- Assist with recruitment activities including job postings, scheduling interviews, and candidate communication.
- Ensure mandatory training and continuing education is completed (i.e. safety training, employee handbook training, anti\-harassment training, etc.).
- Assist with employee benefit programs (Open Enrollment) and employee leave requests.
- Maintain employee personnel files and update as necessary.
- Draft HR\-related correspondence, memos, and employee communications.
- Support performance review and training initiatives.
- Assist with preparing reports, presentations, and documentation.
- Assists with planning and execution of special events such as company meetings, employee recognition events, team building, holiday parties, etc.
- Maintains supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level, anticipating needed supplies, placing and expediting orders for supplies.
- Track recurring company expenses (e.g., utilities, service vendors, subscriptions) to ensure timely payment.
- Prepare and submit payment reports and support documentation for AP payment processing.
- Monitor and track business travel bookings.
- Perform a wide variety of responsible clerical, technical, administrative, and office support duties.
- Minimum 2 year of experience in Human Resources, Benefits Administration, Talent Acquisition, Training and Development, or similar roles required.
- Basic familiarity with employment \& labor law regulations.
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration across teams and clear employee engagement.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Demonstrated organizational skills in data collection, data entry, contracts administration, and administrative support functions.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Outlook.
