Job Type: Full \-Time \| Hybrid (Onsite \& Remote)
Schedule: Monday – Thursday (8:00AM – 5:00PM), Friday (Flextime)
Pay: Sarting at $85,000/annually

Casa Loma College is seeking an Assistant Professor, Physical Therapist Assistant Program to participate in the development and implementation of a superior curriculum plan, enabling the Program to deliver up\-to\-date physical therapy education and to achieve its goals consistent with the mission of Casa Loma College.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:
The Assistant Professor, Physical Therapist Assistant Program engages in short\- and long\-term planning for the Program. They possess contemporary expertise and demonstrate effectiveness in both teaching and evaluation of students being prepared to enter a dynamic and challenging profession.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Instruction of assigned coursework, including both lecture and laboratory content where required
- Use a variety of effective tests, measures, and evaluation processes to determine whether students have met learning objectives, and that their performance in the cognitive, psychomotor, and affective domains is satisfactory for safe performance in the clinical environment
- Participate in establishing, developing, implementing, reviewing, and revising the curriculum in concert with other faculty and staff, as directed by the Program Director and with input from other appropriate communities of interest
- Help to initiate, adopt, evaluate, and uphold academic policies and procedures specific to the Program and of the College, under the direction of the Program Director.
- Devise and implement specific educational plans for individual students under the direction of the Program Director
- Help to devise and implement a personal Professional Development Program consistent with the requirements of the Program and the College, under the direction of the Program Director
- Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience required.
- Current unrestricted California PT or PTA license
- Evidence of contemporary expertise specific to assigned teaching content, beyond that obtained in an entry\-level physical therapy program, and which represents knowledge and skills reflective of current practice.
- Bachelor’s degree
- Graduate of a CAPTE accredited PT or PTA program, or the equivalent
- Orthopedic \&/or Sports\-related PT experience

Participate in specific non\-teaching administrative functions as directed by the Program Director, including:
1\. Program administration
2\. Clinical education administration
3\. Development and production of programmatic and institutional accreditation reports
4\. Peer review and self\-evaluation
