Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant/Receptionist to join our healthcare team. This role involves providing exceptional patient service, supporting clinical operations, and managing administrative tasks in a fast\-paced medical environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong knowledge of medical terminology, patient care procedures, and administrative support functions, with experience in various medical settings including outpatient clinics. Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly and efficiently manage check\-in and check\-out processes using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems
- Obtain and record vital signs, medical histories, and current medications during patient intake
- Prepare examination rooms, sterilize equipment, and ensure cleanliness in compliance with health standards
- Support physicians and nurses with documentation.
- Manage appointment scheduling, patient follow\-up calls, and insurance verification
- Handle administrative duties such as data entry, filing, and maintaining accurate patient records.
- Provide excellent patient service by addressing questions and ensuring comfort throughout the visit
- Support hospital medicine teams with inpatient care activities or Level I/II trauma center protocols when required
- Previous experience in a clinical setting is highly desirable
- Familiarity with EHR systems and ICD coding for documentation purposes
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) or equivalent is preferred
- Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, medication administration, and patient care standards
- Prior hospital experience or clinic experience demonstrating ability to multitask effectively in high\-pressure situations is a plus
