- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information at all times while adhering to firm policies and procedures.
- Assistance with client intake, engagement, and gathering of information necessary to advise clients and prepare their estate planning documents.
- Assist with drafting estate planning and related documents and correspondence with precision and clarity.
- Perform detailed document review and proofreading to maintain high standards of accuracy in all legal materials.
- Assist with client signings and after the signing, assist with original documents, including preparation of client binders, post\-execution instructions, assistance with funding trusts and retitling accounts, and similar services requested by clients.
- Manage and organize case files using our firm's document management system; ensure all records are accurate, complete, and easily accessible.
- Handle administrative duties including data entry, scheduling appointments, managing phone inquiries with professionalism and courtesy; time entry and management and billing assistance.
- On occasion conduct legal research using tools such as LexisNexis across various practice areas including estate planning, business and tax planning.
- Paralegal experience or equivalent legal administrative experience in a law office environment a plus.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with excellent organizational skills.
- Strong research skills utilizing LexisNexis, and other legal research tools.
- Familiarity with practice management software such as MyCase preferred.
- Knowledge of estate planning, trust and estate administration, probate law, business law or real estate a plus.
- Exceptional writing skills for drafting clear legal documents and correspondence.
- Demonstrated proofreading and transcription abilities ensuring accuracy in all written materials.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Strong communication skills coupled with professional phone etiquette to interact confidently with clients and team members alike.
