- Process payroll accurately and on schedule using various payroll software such as Workday, ADP, Paychex, UltiPro, Kronos, or Ceridian.
- Maintain and update employee records within HRIS systems, ensuring data accuracy for payroll and benefits administration.
- Reconcile payroll accounts through general ledger accounting practices, including journal entries, account reconciliation, and double entry bookkeeping.
- Manage benefits administration tasks related to payroll deductions and employee benefit enrollments.
- Prepare detailed reports on payroll activities, tax filings, and compliance documentation for internal review and external audits.
- Perform data entry with precision in accounting software like QuickBooks or other financial management tools to ensure accurate financial tracking.
- Support governmental reporting requirements by preparing tax filings, 941 forms, and other statutory submissions.
- Assist with accounts payable and receivable processes related to payroll expenses and reimbursements.
- Conduct analysis of payroll data to identify discrepancies or errors, implementing corrective actions promptly.
- Collaborate with human resources to process new hire onboarding, terminations, and employee status changes affecting payroll.
- Extensive experience with payroll management systems such as Workday, ADP, Paychex, Kronos, UltiPro, or Ceridian.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles including general ledger accounting, debits \& credits, journal entries, and account reconciliation.
- Proficiency in using accounting software like QuickBooks along with HRIS platforms for data management.
- Familiarity with governmental tax regulations and compliance procedures related to payroll processing.
- Excellent data entry skills with high accuracy (10 key typing) and attention to detail.
- Ability to perform complex analysis of payroll data to identify issues or discrepancies efficiently.
- Knowledge of benefits administration processes within a corporate or non\-profit environment.
- Understanding of non\-profit accounting practices is a plus but not required.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast\-paced setting.
