Position Summary

The PCT/Medical Assistant is a key part of the success of our integrated healthcare sites. This individual provides support to the providers, including preparing examination rooms, rooming patients, taking vitals, assisting with procedures and lab testing, injections, intravenous fluids, and draws, normal call backs, face\-to\-face monitoring of patients, monitoring medical equipment in addition to administrative functions. The PCT/Medical Assistant participates in quality improvement activities as needed, and performs other duties as assigned while maintaining the highest level of patient care.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Excellent customer service and client care
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Ability to complete data entry with minimal errors
  • Comfortable with medical and testing procedures including collection of samples.
  • Comfortable with administering injections, intravenous lines/fluids, and draws (blood, fluids, IM, Sub Q, immunization and vaccination)
  • Must support an access to care model
  • Have or ability to obtain a Level I Fingerprint Clearance Card
  • Maintain current AZ driver's license with acceptable driving record If position is required to drive for business reasons, employee must be at least 18 years of age with an acceptable driving record
  • Maintain approved CPR/First Aid certification
  • Successfully pass background check and drug screen
  • Microsoft Office/Outlook/Internet proficiency and excellent computer skills
  • Patient Care Technician\- No experience necessary and must be willing to learn OR

    Medical Assistant \- Graduate of an accredited medical assistant program; current national Medical Assistant certification.
