BCBA / BCaBA \- Behavior Support Location: Springfield, Illinois Job Type: Full\-Time, 1\.0 FTE, W2 Work Setting: Residential and community\-based services Schedule: Typically Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with flexibility based on client needs Compensation: BCBA: $85,000\-$105,000 annually BCaBA: $78,000\-$90,000 annually Compensation is based on certification, Illinois Medicaid provider enrollment status, relevant experience, and qualifications. Overview Avento Health is recruiting a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) or Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst (BCaBA) for a full\-time opportunity with a nonprofit developmental disabilities services organization in Springfield, Illinois. The position supports adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities living in residential and community\-based settings. The BCBA or BCaBA will develop and oversee behavior support programs, conduct behavioral assessments, write and revise behavior support plans, train direct care staff, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to improve behavioral outcomes and quality of life. This is not a traditional high\-volume autism clinic position. Services are primarily delivered with adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in residential and community environments, and there is no set minimum billable\-hours requirement. Providers have access to an office location, but much of the work takes place directly in individuals' homes, residential programs, and community settings. Sign\-on and relocation assistance may be available for eligible candidates who commit to one year of employment. Responsibilities Develop, implement, update, and oversee individualized behavior support programs Write and revise behavior support plans based on assessment findings, behavioral data, individual needs, and interdisciplinary input Conduct behavioral assessments and functional behavior assessments Complete risk assessments and other required behavioral documentation Analyze behavioral data and modify interventions based on clinical findings Complete monthly notes and other required clinical documentation Provide behavioral consultation to direct care staff, residential teams, guardians, and other stakeholders Train direct support professionals and other employees on behavior support plans and intervention strategies Observe staff implementation of behavioral interventions and provide coaching or retraining as needed Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members, guardians, outside providers, and organizational leadership Participate in treatment planning and behavioral review meetings Provide services in homes, residential programs, community settings, and other client environments Respond to phone\-based on\-call behavioral needs as required Maintain services and documentation consistent with applicable BACB, Illinois DHS, Medicaid, and organizational requirements Required Qualifications BCBA Candidates Active Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification through the Behavior Analyst Certification Board BCaBA Candidates Active Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst (BCaBA) certification through the Behavior Analyst Certification Board Ability to practice within applicable BCaBA supervision requirements All Candidates Experience developing or writing behavior support plans Experience conducting behavioral assessments and developing behavioral interventions Experience training or supporting staff in implementing behavioral strategies Strong clinical documentation skills Ability to work effectively with interdisciplinary teams, guardians, and direct care staff Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Ability to travel locally between residential and community service locations Willingness and ability to complete Illinois Medicaid provider enrollment if not already enrolled Illinois Medicaid Provider Enrollment Anyone hired into this position will need to apply for enrollment as an Illinois Medicaid provider if they are not already enrolled. Candidates who have already started or completed Illinois Medicaid provider enrollment are strongly preferred, but prior enrollment is not required for consideration. Support with the enrollment process is typically available after hire. This is a hands\-on, field\-based clinical role rather than a primarily office\-based position. The schedule is generally Monday through Friday, with flexibility based on client needs and occasional phone\-based on\-call responsibilities.
