Duties Record and process journal entries, including debits and credits, ensuring accuracy and adherence to GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) Perform bank reconciliations and general ledger reconciliation to maintain precise financial data Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, ensuring timely payments and collections Process payroll using reliable payroll software, maintaining confidentiality and compliance with legal standards Maintain detailed records of financial transactions using accounting systems like QuickBooks Online. Prepare financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and other statements for internal review or external reporting Conduct account analysis and account reconciliation to identify discrepancies and resolve issues promptly Support budgeting activities by tracking expenses against budgets and providing relevant data for financial planning Ensure compliance with accounting standards and principles, including double\-entry bookkeeping and technical accounting practices Requirements Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role with a strong understanding of accounting systems such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or Quicken Demonstrated knowledge of corporate accounting principles, non\-profit accounting practices (if applicable), and public accounting standards Proficiency in spreadsheets (Excel or Google Sheets) for data analysis, report writing, and account analysis Familiarity with financial concepts like GAAP, double\-entry bookkeeping, journal entries, account reconciliation, and bank reconciliation Experience with payroll processing software and managing accounts payable/receivable workflows Strong attention to detail with the ability to perform 10\-key typing efficiently for data entry tasks Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks accurately under deadlines * Knowledge of technical accounting practices including general ledger accounting and balance sheet reconciliation Join us if you’re passionate about precision in finance!
