Our busy emergency hospital sees an average of 500 patients each month and is equipped with advanced diagnostic and treatment capabilities; including an in\-house IDEXX laboratory, digital radiography, ultrasound, endoscopy, and therapeutic laser technology. This allows our team to deliver high\-quality, timely care for a wide variety of cases! No two shifts are ever the same. Our medical team manages everything from minor injuries and routine emergencies to complex critical cases, such as septic ruptures, orthopedic trauma, cardiac arrest, and more. The diverse caseload offers continual opportunities to challenge and expand your clinical skills while making a meaningful impact on the lives of pets and their families. Our hours of operation are: Monday \- Friday: 06:00 pm \~ 08:00 am Saturday \& Sunday: 24 Hours Select Holidays: 24 Hours Job Description Job duties include, but are not limited to: Maintain the visual appeal of the hospital reception area, greet and welcome clients and patients, answer questions and triage client concerns, answer calls or emails and direct to the appropriate party for resolution, schedule appointments to maximize efficiency and daily flow, check in and check out clients and process payments. Our receptionists offer friendly emotional support in a compassionate and discreet manner during times of need to our clients and must be comfortable with various medical outcomes. Must be able to withstand unpleasant odors and noises. May be exposed to bites, scratches, animal waste and potentially contagious diseases. Qualifications We're Looking For: Minimum 1\+ years of veterinary receptionist experience preferred, minimum 1\+ years experience in any customer service field required. Compassionate, calm team player with a positive attitude. Exceptional multitasking abilities and strong communication skills. Highly organized with excellent computer proficiency. Self\-motivated, with a desire to continuously learn and grow in your role. Ability to handle emotionally charged situations with professionalism and resilience. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, especially in difficult or emotional circumstances. Comfortable working in a veterinary environment—must not be squeamish. Ability to adapt quickly to changing situations and manage multiple priorities effectively.
