Our agency is recognized by the local and national social service community as having expertise in providing culturally competent mental health services to the underserved, with expertise in working with the Asian \& Pacific Islander and Russian\-speaking populations. Program Overview: Funded by SFDPH\-BHSA, Kindezi provides population focused prevention and early intervention services to under\-served and under\-represented Black/African American birthing families in San Francisco. Kindezi partners with three perinatal mental health and wellness programs to outreach, engage and provide screening/assessment/early intervention services to pregnant and postpartum individuals. Job Summary: The Program Assistant provides administrative and operational support to the Kindezi program, including the Program Director, Clinical Program Manager, and Program Coordinator. Direct service responsibilities include outreach, participant recruitment, enrollment, intake, and resource linkage to facilitate access to mental health services, supportive perinatal care, and other concrete resources. This role requires excellent communication skills, the ability to build relationships and engage and motivate participants, and up\-to\-date knowledge of community resources. The position also helps coordinate seamless collaboration among community partners, including UCSF EMBRACE, Rafiki Coalition, and Homeless Children's Network's Black Birthing Health Initiative (BBHI), to reduce logistical barriers and promote high\-quality, coordinated care. Primary Responsibilities Include: Support all operational elements of the program Maintain a thorough understanding of ancillary perinatal services Receive and respond to new referrals, including enrolling participants and supporting them to navigate economic, logistical, and other non\-clinical barriers to accessing care, following care plans, or meeting goals Escalate to, and collaborate with, clinical colleagues and care teams as appropriate Outreach by virtual means or in person to identify resource needs, connect participants to those resources, and follow up to confirm the need is met Assist in planning, organizing, facilitating, and participating in on\-site/community events, clinics, and outreach initiatives as assigned Support the program/consult with interdisciplinary care teams to support complex members who have resource needs or logistical barriers. Address community resource needs for complex members/families in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams\[1] Support program database management, including data entry, entry of survey results, extraction and reports, including but not limited to clinical data and demographics, using the Salesforce platform and other electronic health record and/or database used by our funders in San Francisco Assist other program staff in data entry, as needed Assist in collecting data, and producing various project\-related reports and documents, including but not limited to feedback surveys \& progress reports Support Program Coordinator with social media content development and creating and scheduling posts related to outreach events, resource highlights, and community partnerships Develop and maintain a glossary of maternal health terms for the behavioral health team Maintain and regularly update a Community Resource Guide, gathering feedback from families and staff to ensure the guide reflects current needs and available services General filing \& recordkeeping/organizing Inventory and purchasing of program supplies Light correspondence \& memos, as assigned Some local driving or local travel using public transportation required Participate in in\-service training and other professional development as assigned Other duties as needed to facilitate effective operation of the program as assigned by Director, Clinical Program Manager, and/or Program Coordinator Required Qualifications: At least a High School degree or GED. Associate or Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, computer science, business administration, or related fields preferred, but not required Experience working with computers and database management \& maintenance, database queries and reports: Salesforce and Google Workspace, highly preferred Experience working in a non\-profit or academic office environment, preferred. Candidates with experience in community behavioral/public health system highly encouraged to apply Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel programs and Google Workspace equivalents Must be detail\-oriented and organized, think analytically, value accuracy and organization, and readily able to learn additional computer skills Strong commitment to the philosophy, goals, \& mission of RAMS in providing community\-based, culturally competent, and consumer\-guided mental health services to the community Commitment to engaging in professional development activities such as trainings, continuing education seminars, case conferences, and reviewing up\-to\-date material, etc. * Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively, function independently, and interact professionally with a diverse, multicultural, and interdisciplinary staff of all levels
