The Assistant Program Manager \- Construction Training will oversee the day\-to\-day operations of the Urban Workforce Development Initiative, which focuses on empowering individuals seeking careers in the construction industry. This role combines comprehensive case management, barrier removal strategy, and career counseling to support trainees from recruitment through successful employment placement. The Specialist is on partner construction sites daily and is responsible for guiding participants through the selection process, tracking performance metrics, facilitating skill assessments, and building strategic relationships with construction employers and community partners to ensure long\-term career success and job retention. Program Planning and Execution: Develop and manage program plans in conjunction with external program partners, including but not limited to: timelines, recruitment strategies, and resource allocation for construction training cohorts. Program Management \& Detailed Case Management: Act as the primary point of contact for program\-related communications. Conduct rigorous, detailed case management for all assigned trainees, tracking progress from intake to placement for two years. Reporting and Data Maintenance: Compile, analyze, and submit comprehensive weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports detailing program outcomes, enrollment numbers, and placement metrics to leadership and stakeholders. Maintain precise tracking in Salesforce, KEE Suite, Precor, and other systems to ensure real\-time accuracy for all reporting cycles. Selection Process \& Assessment Administration: Manage the participant intake funnel: coordinate UWDI Assessments, track skill progression, monitor attendance records, and evaluate participants' behavior for work\-readiness. Conduct structured UWDI Interviews and compile candidate results to build comprehensive UWDI Action Plans. Barrier Removal \& Trainee Support: Identify systemic and personal employment barriers for participants. Design individualized barrier removal and action plans, and actively collaborate with trainees to ensure they follow and successfully complete their plans. Monitor attendance and performance at active job sites and address issues proactively. Performance Monitoring: Monitor and track program performance metrics, Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and employment placement outcomes. Ensure that program deliverables and data entry meet quality standards and requirements. Continuous Improvement: Evaluate program outcomes and processes to identify opportunities for improvement. Implement best practices, lessons learned, and insights, including notes and feedback from industry partners, to enhance future program performance. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities =================================== Data \& Systems Proficiency: Excellent data management skills with direct competency utilizing Salesforce and other systems for tracking case notes and program data. Core Professionalism: Detail\-oriented with a strong commitment to thorough documentation, quality, and accuracy. Highly motivated self\-starter exhibiting excellent project management, time management, and leadership skills. Career Development Expertise: Proven ability to provide comprehensive career counseling, assessments, and develop/conduct virtual or in\-person training sessions. Communication \& Marketing: Excellent oral, written, and presentation skills. Expert ability to prepare professional resumes, cover letters, and conduct mock interviews. Outreach \& Networking: Working knowledge of major social media platforms (LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, etc) with proven experience leveraging these networks for recruitment and outreach. Relationship Management: Proven ability to establish, expand, and maintain positive relationships with internal team members, external businesses, and construction strategic partners. Flexibility: Must be an independent worker who functions seamlessly within a team environment, showing an ability to meet tight deadlines and solve complex problems under pressure. Must be available in the evenings and on weekends for programmatic and agency\-related activities. Education and/or Experience =============================== Education:.Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and professional experience. Industry Certifications: Certified Workforce Development Professional (CWDP) designation preferred. Experience: Explicit experience within the Construction Industry or managing construction\-related workforce programs preferred. Direct experience in Workforce Counseling, Placement, and Career Development, preferably within a non\-profit or human services environment. Three years of experience in Human Resources or Staffing preferred. Work Environment In this position, candidates should expect to spend time working outside the office. Much of the candidate’s time will be spent at construction sites. The workweek is Monday through Friday; however, availability during select evenings and weekends is required for programs and agency\-related activities. Local travel is common in order to meet with trainees and construction partners. As such, a valid driver’s license, a reliable vehicle, and current auto insurance are required. Willing to undergo a background check, in accordance with local law/regulations.
