\[placeholder] IMPORTANT. PLEASE READ. This position is a remote position. This position will be responsible for servicing primarily the southwest part of the state of Ohio (i.e., Outlined by the areas contained by Darke, Licking and Lawrence counties). The IDEAL candidate will reside somewhere centrally in this area. The successful candidate must be able to provide their own reliable transportation. Mileage expenses will be reimbursed. At the direction of the supervisor, enforces standards for pre\-licensure nursing education programs \& training programs as established in laws \& rules; consults \& advises administrators of nursing education programs; plans \& conducts survey visits to ensure compliance with Ohio Board of Nursing (OBN) requirements. Analyzes, develops, implements \& evaluates programs of the Board, drafts policies for action by the Board; collects, analyzes \& prepares reports of data relating to nursing education \& makes appropriate recommendations; develops, implements \& evaluates program goals \& policies. Monitors trends regarding assigned program area; coordinates assignments \& preparation of all reports to Board concerning assigned program area; responds to inquiries; provides consultation \& advice to administrators of nursing education programs, health care community, licensees \&/or members of the public. Represents the Board, Executive Director \&/or Supervisor at selected meetings \& conferences; staffs \&/or serves as liaison to advisory groups; maintains continuous personal contacts with nurses, nursing administrators, assistant attorney general's office \& general public; ensures accuracy \& timeliness of work activities in assigned program area in order to prevent adverse results (e.g., acts on applications for new schools or acts on curriculum changes in order to assist schools in implementation of plans; responds to questions in order to prevent miscommunication or lack of understanding of laws which could result in unlawful practice of nursing); operates personal computer to edit, enter \&/or verify data \& to produce reports \&/or documents. Performs other duties as assigned (e.g., attends staff meetings, seminars, continuing education events; makes recommendations \& assists in implementation of new \&/or proposed rule changes, policies \& procedures). Qualifications Completion of graduate core program in nursing, education, management, or related field; 5 yrs. exp. as registered nurse; 36 months experience in management.
