Saint Louis, Missouri Clinical Services and Support Days Full\-Time 112695 STL1\-N14 $17\.50 – $23\.88 / hour (Salary or hourly rate is based on job qualifications and relevant work experience) Job Description ------------------- Additional Information About the Role BJC HealthCare is seeking a Full\-Time Procedure Scheduling Coordinator at our Barnes Jewish Hospital for the Nuclear Medicine \& PET Radiology Department Position Details: Day shift: Monday – Friday, 8:30 am – 5:00 pm No weekends or holidays Office\-based, non\-remote role with hands\-on clinical support Manage Waiting Room: Check in/out patients, answer phones from patients \& vendors Welcome \& Assist Patients: First point of contact, provide patient assistance as needed (helping patients to restrooms) \& monitoring Scheduling Procedures \& Appointments: handle faxed orders, and support clinical operations with accuracy and urgency. Neuroradiology, comprises highly trained Radiologists, Radiologic Technologists and Registered Nurses who work as a team to perform complex procedures such as cerebral angiography, myelography, stent placements and aneurysm coilings and embolizations. The Radiology Department at the Washington University Medical Center is regarded as one of the top five in the United States. It performs over 453,000 diagnostic and interventional imaging procedures annually. Preferred Qualifications Role Purpose Coordinates the care of patients in need of special procedures in various radiology areas. Responsibilities Obtains insurance information and pre\-certification room referring physician or insurance company. Maintains files and records on all patients, coordinates transportation for inpatients, and performs patient procedure follow\-up as instructed. Coordinates the flow of all examinations by working closely with the radiologists, technical staff and the referring physicians offices. Monitors patient‘s physiological and psychological needs and reports patient concerns to appropriate staff member, physician or supervisor.
