Individual Giving Manager (Full\-time)
Full\-time: 40 hours per week, Hybrid, Exempt position.
Schedule: General working hours will be Monday\-Friday 9am\-5pm, with 1\-2 days/week on\-site. This role will also require occasional evening and/or weekend commitments. Flex time honored.
Compensation: $80,000 \+ benefits
Benefits: Full Medical, Dental and Vision.
Vacation: LP holidays (14/year) and vacation starting at 19 days/year.
Sick Days: Ten hours of accrual per month up to 120 hours.

Job Description
The Individual Giving Manager will be responsible for growing a portfolio of individual donors and La Peña members. They will be tasked with identifying new prospects and building long\-term relationships that connect donors to our mission and engage community members to sustain our work. Though this role will require enough experience to work independently and proactively, there will be strong support from leadership and ample opportunities for learning and professional development. This is a full\-time position based in Berkeley, CA. We will not consider long\-term remote candidates. Occasional evening and weekend work will be involved.
Duties \& Responsibilities
Individual Giving: 75%
- Manage and grow annual individual fund strategy in collaboration with the Development Director and Executive Director, including overseeing communications, logistics, and gift processing for two direct appeal campaigns and two soft appeal campaigns each year.
- Renew and grow the current donor pool (400\+ total active donors) while also building new pipelines, with a first\-year goal of generating $120,000 in individual donations.
- Develop segmented communication strategies to steward donor relationships through personalized outreach, using moves management to deepen engagement and increase giving across the donor life cycle.
- Collaborate with Development Director and Executive Director to engage Board members in donor prospecting, cultivation, and stewardship efforts.
- Oversee and collaborate with Development Operations Coordinator to track all individual donor outreach and engagement in our Salesforce system, maintaining clean, updated, and relevant records that help accurately monitor progress towards fundraising goals, and inform strategic planning.
- Write, edit, and create basic graphic design for compelling donor communications, including appeals, updates, thank\-you notes, and invitations.
- Collaborate and engage cross\-functionally with La Peña’s core admin team to stay up to date on current and future programming.
- Strengthen and optimize La Peña’s membership program by overseeing member recruitment, communications with members, and financial/impact tracking.
- Collaborate with Production Team to manage member benefits in association with programmatic efforts and priorities.
- Collaborate with Development Director in strategizing around fundraising events.
- Represent the organization at 1\-2 strategic/stakeholder events per month.
- Additional projects as assigned by the Director of Development and/or Executive Director to support a fast\-paced and multifaceted organization.
- Have a strong commitment to the mission, values, goals, and work of La Peña Cultural Center.
- Have experience in nonprofit fundraising, preferably with direct responsibility for donor portfolios or major gift strategy.
- Have experience using Salesforce or similar donor CRM and online fundraising platforms and tools, and are comfortable keeping up with data entry and donor tracking.
- Excel at building and managing relationships and expanding a network of support.
- Are skilled in conducting donor research and how to identify mission\-aligned prospects.
- Have well developed time management skills, and can juggle multiple projects, tasks, and deadlines simultaneously.
- Have excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication, and can communicate respectfully and inclusively in diverse environments with colleagues, community members, and external peers.
- Are an entrepreneurial self\-starter who is comfortable learning and iterating as you go, collaborating with a team, and adapting as the organization grows and evolves.
- Experience in fundraising for arts and culture organizations or immigrant communities.
- Familiarity with the Bay Area’s philanthropic ecosystem.
- Bilingual in Spanish and English. Other languages are a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in a related field such as Business or Public Administration, Communication, education, etc.
- The responsibilities and tasks associated with this position will require regularly sitting and viewing a computer, standing, walking, speaking, hearing, and occasional light (\<10lbs) lifting.
