Health Partners of Western Ohio is an independent, non\-profit and community\-directed organization. We serve low\-income areas and places without access to care. SUMMARY:
Provides assistance to Director of Finance to ensure all financial department processes are completed in a timely manner. Oversees purchase order process in WorkPlace and completes data entry into Microsoft Dynamics. Assists with audits, accounts payable, purchasing, and other finance department tasks.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES:

- Supports a patient\-centered healthcare home where the patient\-provider relationship is encouraged, with an emphasis on coordination of care and the establishment of a long\-term healing relationship.
- Supports open patient access to and coordination of care that is supported by information technology.
- Promotes effective and appropriate use of integrated health services at HPWO as part of a “Patient Centered Medical Home” (PCMH) model of care.
- Maintains WorkPlace system including adding new users, security settings, invoicing and matching.
- Maintains accounts payable system records.
- Handles inquiries from vendors.
- Prepares journal entries and maintains asset depreciation.
- Assist with monthly general ledger maintenance.
- Completes internal audits including cash audits, accounts payable, and payroll audits.
- Maintains financial records.
- Assists Director of Finance with tasks.
- Assists with the completion of internal and external financial reporting.
- Runs reports as requested by Administration/Management.
- Completes various financial and administrative functions as required.
- Assists with preparing the 990,1099, 1098, 1096 and other related tax forms.
- Assists in the preparation of HPWO FQHC audits.
- Actively participates in Quality Improvement activities and on other committees as needed.
- Maintaining of confidentiality of all financial records.
- Performs miscellaneous job\-related duties as assigned.
- Knowledge of computerized accounting systems.
- Knowledge of non\-profit accounting systems a plus.
- Must be able to work well with teams.
- Relies on professional experiences and judgment to plan and accomplish goals to perform a variety of tasks.
- Understanding of accounting activities, including general ledger, accounts payables, payroll and accounts receivable.
- Computer experience, skill and typing ability sufficient to operate the financial systems.
- Skill and ability to function effectively and calmly in an unpredictable and often stressful environment.
QUALIFICATIONS:
REQUIRED EDUCATION: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field required plus 5 years of experience required.

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORT:
Work is mostly sedentary demanding sitting, some walking, lifting, and bending. Those physical movements and the degree of mobility, manual dexterity and hand\-eye coordination normally associated with duties in an office setting will be performed on a repetitive basis. This also includes bending, twisting, reaching, lifting, pulling, pushing, and walking. The ability to distinguish letters and symbols as well as the ability to utilize telephones, computer terminals, fax machines, and copiers is required. The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
