The Opportunity:
We are seeking a proactive, detail\-oriented, and highly organized Operations Assistant to join our team at our Port Washington headquarters. This is an exciting entry\-level role, ideal for someone who is data driven and eager to learn the ins and outs of the furniture industry.
What You’ll be Doing:
- Work with internal teams, retailers, and national carriers to support daily shipping operations
- Provide logistical support between retail partners and carriers to help ensure orders are delivered accurately and on time
- Monitor and manage retailer and carrier portals for order updates, shipment tracking, routing, and issue resolution
- Assist with shipment audits, tracking requests, delivery delays, and transportation\-related inquiries
- Communicate clearly and collaborate effectively with internal teams
- Support client communication by providing timely, professional responses
- Maintain accurate shipment records and related documentation
- Support the operations team with administrative and data entry tasks related to shipping and logistics
- Learn retailer routing requirements and transportation procedures through hands\-on training
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 1\-2 years of experience in a similar role preferred but not required
- Detail\-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities effectively
- Self\-starter with a positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
- $25\.00/hour \+ eligible for commission
