The Contested Matter Assistant provides basic clerical and administrative support to the Contested Matter Department (which includes Trademark, Litigation and Post Grant), delivering customer focused service across a range of departmental needs.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Delivers professional administrative and clerical support to the Contested Matter Department, including but not limited to assisting with mailings, managing correspondence, entering and updating data timely and accurately into appropriate systems, and processing bills and reimbursements.
- Assists with practitioner time entry.
- Performs in\-office support tasks, such as, making copies, faxing documents, retrieving files or documents, and assists with other in\-office support needs as necessary.
- Organizes and maintains accuracy of all department\-related documents and ensures proper management of documentation and correspondence via the document management system.
- Collaborates with colleagues and/or departments to ensure successful completion of tasks and assignments in a timely manner.
- Accurately opens new matters and updates matters within appropriate systems.
- Works closely with administrator and paralegal teams to prepare documents related to Trademark, Post Grant, ITC, and federal and superior court cases.
- Supports a variety of other department\-related projects or tasks, as directed.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Propensity to learn other software as needed.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Team player with a willingness to take on additional projects and work.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks.
- Flexibility and resourcefulness, and a willingness to support the firm and its business needs.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with different levels of constituencies both as an individual contributor and in a team setting.

Pay: $55,600\.00 \- $67,000\.00 per year
