Human Resources Assistant Opportunity at MICA

We are currently seeking a Human Resources Assistant to join our HR team. This role provides hands\-on support across recruiting, HR administration, and people operations \-making it an ideal opportunity for someone early in their HR career who wants broad exposure, real responsibility, guidance developing their learning and development abilities and the chance to see how a thoughtful HR function operates from the inside.

What You'll Do
Recruiting \& Talent Operations
- Coordinate job postings on internal and external platforms
- Receive, track, and route resumes and applications
- Schedule phone, virtual, and in\-person interviews, managing calendars and logistics
- Communicate with candidates regarding scheduling, next steps, and process updates
- Coordinate background checks and pre\-employment onboarding activities
- Maintain recruiting trackers, documentation, and status updates
- Ensure a positive, professional candidate experience aligned with MICA's culture
- Provide administrative support including document preparation, filing, scanning, and electronic record maintenance
- Support onboarding documentation and employee record processes
- Assist with workflow tracking, follow\-ups, and internal requests
- Provide backup front desk and call\-handling support as needed
- Assist with meeting room setup, office coordination, and supply management
- Provide backup support for payroll processing
- Assist with maintaining payroll records and employee data accuracy
- Support monthly carrier payment processing and related documentation
- Handle all payroll and benefits information with the highest level of confidentiality
- Willing to be on\-site daily
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 1–3 years of experience supporting an HR department, recruiting function, or similar administrative role
- Strong organizational skills and genuine attention to detail
- Clear, professional communication both written and verbal
- Comfortable managing multiple priorities while staying organized and responsive
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- A high level of discretion when handling sensitive and confidential information
