Overview
Pedes Orange County is seeking an experienced and motivated HR Generalist to serve as the primary human resources point of contact for our growing vascular practice. This role works closely with the Center Manager and VP of Business Operations to manage all HR functions across the organization — from compliance and employee relations to staff credentialing, provider credentialing, and HRIS administration.
This is an entry\- to mid\-level position ideal for a certified HR professional who is highly organized, California employment law savvy, and comfortable managing both the strategic and administrative sides of HR in a fast\-paced clinical environment.
Key Responsibilities
HR Generalist \& Compliance
- Serve as the day\-to\-day HR resource for all staff and leadership HR needs
- Manage employee onboarding and offboarding, including document collection, background checks, license verification, and IT access coordination
- Maintain and update all personnel files and HR records in BambooHR
- Monitor and ensure California compliance across daily operations, including wage and hour laws, leave requirements, and workplace regulations
- Recommend and implement updates to HR policies to maintain compliance with California and federal employment law
- Support executives in the corrective action and disciplinary process, including documentation, write\-ups, and formal performance improvement plans
- Facilitate employee reviews and support performance management processes
- Assist with recruitment efforts including job postings, candidate screening, and interview scheduling
- Review and approve employee timecards on a regular basis
- Track and oversee overtime and meal premiums
- Submit approved timesheets for payroll processing in collaboration with leadership
- Track and manage staff training renewals (BLS, HIPAA, compliance modules, etc.)
- Coordinate scheduling and documentation of required training completions
- Maintain training records in BambooHR and ensure no lapses in required certifications
- Monitor expiration dates for staff licenses, certifications, and credentials
- Coordinate timely renewal submissions and maintain up\-to\-date records
- Ensure all credentialing documentation is current and accessible
- Manage provider credentialing and re\-credentialing applications for hospitals and facility privileges
- Oversee payor credentialing and enrollment processes for all providers
- Partner with the billing team to ensure payor contracts reflect accurate, up\-to\-date provider information
- Supply billing with current provider credentials to support contract accuracy and uninterrupted billing
- Track credentialing status, expiration dates, and renewal timelines across all facilities and payors
- Maintain organized credentialing files and communicate status updates to leadership
- Serve as the primary administrator of the BambooHR platform
- Maintain accurate and up\-to\-date employee records, org charts, and HR workflows
- Generate HR reports and provide data visibility to leadership as needed
- 2\+ years of experience in human resources; healthcare setting strongly preferred
- Strong working knowledge of California employment law and HR compliance requirements
- Experience managing provider credentialing for hospitals, facilities, and/or payors
- Proficiency with BambooHR or similar HRIS platform
- Familiarity with payor enrollment processes and coordination with billing teams
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities
- High level of professionalism and discretion when handling confidential information
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
