SUMMARY:
Provides technical support, maintaining and troubleshooting the Company’s computer systems, networks, and software to ensure smooth, secure, operations.
Responsible and accountable for the following area:
- Information Technology Specialist Level 2 for I. Kitagawa \& Co., Ltd. and affiliates (hereinafter called Company).
- Affiliates Include: DSD, IK Motors, Inc. dba Kamaaina Motors, Kamaaina Nissan, Kona Auto Center, Inc, and Parts Center Hawaii, Inc.
- Maintains a complete hardware chart to identify all computer hardware of the Company. By company, department, and individual workstation.
- Maintains a complete software chart to identify all approved computer software of the Company and the applicable license in effect, including internet requirements for the respective manufacturer.
- Maintains a complete chart on all telecommunications equipment. Telephone, fax, copy and wireless systems.
- Ensures the asset management system is updated on a regular basis.
- Ensures that all equipment and systems in the asset management system is properly labeled and maintained.
- Completes biannual inventory of all Tech Support assets and updates asset management system.
- Ensures the installation and maintenance of individual workstations, this to include printer and computer components.
- Completes the setup and maintenance of workstations in terms of installation of hardware components, software, and updates/patches.
- Will be responsible for the setup and maintenance of time clocks for all locations.
- Will be responsible for the setup and maintenance of the Point\-Of\-Sales \[POS] Systems at the various locations. Will work with the department managers to ensure these systems are kept up\-to\-date and PCI compliant.
- Ensures that only approved hardware and software is utilized with the assigned system. In addition, will notify the CISO, immediately when unauthorized software must be removed.
- Assists Parts Center Hawaii, Inc Admin with all Parts Center Hawaii systems and have an in\-depth knowledge of the TAMS network system.
- Processes Tech Support Requests submitted through the ticketing system and work with the CISO to coordinate assistance for tickets that require additional team members.
- Maintains a library of required literature for respective software providers.
- Completes assigned Tech Support Tickets in a timely manner and maintain all relevant documentation.
- Maintains a daily activity log for historical reference to include installations, troubleshooting, repairs, and maintenance done. Daily documentation will be logged in the Tech Support Management System.
- Maintains documentation of assigned Tech Support Tickets in the Tech Support Management System.
- Completes and remains current with all mandatory manufacturing, safety compliance, safeguards, and cybersecurity training.
- Maintains a safe work environment.
- Ensures that the work area is kept clean.
- Maintains a professional appearance.
- Oversees and monitors authorized 3rd Party vendors completing equipment upgrades and repairs on applicable equipment and systems. Reports any issues immediately to the CISO.
- Assists with network equipment installation and upgrade, as assigned by the CISO.
- Assists in ensuring all security updates and patches on various systems are implemented and kept up to date.
- Assists in maintaining back\-up equipment to minimize down time with any workstation.
- Assists in risk and vulnerability assessments performed by the Tech Support Department.
- Assists in coordinating all hardware maintenance, updates, and repairs with the CISO of the Company.
- Work on and/or assist with any projects assigned by the CISO of the Company.
- Driving is essential to the position; must have and maintain current, valid driver's license and a clean driving abstract.
- Ability to travel to various Company locations.
- Working onsite in Hilo, Hawaii (this is not a remote position)
- 2\-3 Years of Experience in Information Technology (IT)
- CompTIA A\+ Certification or Equivalent Work Experience/Certification
- Strong problem\-solving skills.
- Network fundamentals
- Experience with hardware and software troubleshooting
- Experience with various operation systems (Windows, macOS, Linux)
- Proficient with Email \& Communication
- Experience with repairing and building computers, printers, and other network hardware.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memorandums. Ability to write simple correspondence.
- An ability to effectively present information in one\-on\-one and small group situations to management, customers, clients and employees of the organization.
- Ability to speak, read, and write fluently in English.
