Overview

Parabolic Ventures LLC is hiring a versatile Executive Assistant and Operations Manager to support a principal whose work spans government affairs, law, public\-good research, and business ventures. This is a high\-variety role for someone organized, discreet, and comfortable juggling personal and professional responsibilities across several domains.

The position is part\-time at roughly 25–35 hours per week, with approximately 60% remote work and some in\-person commitment required.

Responsibilities

Home Administration (25%)

Hire, schedule, and oversee household cleaners and repair vendors

Pay household bills and manage routine home administration

Handle personal shopping and run errands as needed

Walk and feed the dogs

Government Affairs \& Research Support (25%)

Schedule meetings with local officials and set agendas

Prepare briefing materials and help coordinate government paperwork and bureaucracy

Support public\-good research projects (training in data analysis and academic research methods will be provided)

Social Media \& Public Brand (12\.5%)

Support the principal’s public\-facing brand and online presence

Help draft, schedule, and manage social media content

Legal Practice Support (12\.5%)

Help launch and set up a new law firm

Coordinate court\-appearance planning and logistics

Assist with basic legal briefings and case\-related administrative tasks

Business Ventures (25%)

Coordinate board meetings for a data analytics consultancy

Support expert testimony engagements and expert consultations

Help track and manage investments in startups

Schedule \& Compensation

  • 25–35 hours per week
  • Approximately 60% remote; some in\-person work required
  • $26–$32 per hour, depending on experience
  • 1099 independent contractor
  • Ideal Candidate

  • Highly organized, with strong follow\-through and attention to detail
  • Discreet and trustworthy; comfortable handling sensitive personal, legal, and business matters
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and able to switch between very different types of work in the same day
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Curiosity and a willingness to learn new skills, including data and research methods
  • Reliable transportation for in\-person tasks and errands
  • Pay: $26\.00 \- $32\.00 per hour
