Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly and manage all front desk activities with professionalism and enthusiasm.
- Verify insurance coverage, perform insurance eligibility checks, and handle insurance verification processes using systems like Epic, Meditech, Dentrix, Eaglesoft, and Athenahealth.
- Schedule appointments efficiently using dental office management software and coordinate patient flow throughout the day.
- Collect payments, process medical billing including CPT coding, ICD\-9/10 coding, and Meditech documentation review to ensure accurate medical records and billing compliance.
- Maintain accurate patient records within Practice Management systems while ensuring HIPAA compliance.
- Answer multi\-line phone systems with excellent phone etiquette, handle patient inquiries, and provide exceptional customer service.
- Assist with filing, managing medical records, and supporting overall office administration including medical administrative support tasks like documentation review and data entry.
- Prior experience working in a dental or medical front office environment is highly preferred; clinic experience is a plus
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology, medical terminology, ADA coding, and health information management practices.
- Familiarity with Practice Management systems such as Carestack, Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or similar platforms.
- Excellent computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and office management software like eClinicalWorks or similar systems
- Demonstrated ability to handle insurance verification processes accurately and efficiently.
- Exceptional customer service skills with professional phone etiquette.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast\-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
