- Experience using Workday or a comparable Human Resources Information System (HRIS).
- Experience supporting HR operations in higher education or a similarly regulated environment.
- Professional HR certification (PHR or SPHR).
- In the absence of the Director of Human Resources, take authorized action and exercise judgment to ensure matters requiring attention are addressed in a timely manner and minimize disruption to HR operations.
- Respond to reported employee concerns and assigned employee relations matters by gathering relevant information, documenting findings, and supporting timely and appropriate resolution in accordance with institutional policy and applicable regulations.
- Serve as a resource to supervisors and employees by applying HR policies, procedures, and employment regulations consistently when providing guidance on workplace expectations and performance\-related matters.
- Support payroll and benefits processes by assisting employees and supervisors with inquiries and documentation.
- Manage the Adjunct process end\-to\-end, including onboarding requirements, approvals, Workday transactions, timeline monitoring, and offboarding as needed.
- Lead adjunct and staff new hire orientation processes in both in\-person and virtual formats, ensuring clear communication of employment requirements and institutional expectations.
- Construct, facilitate, and support HR and management training modules and informational sessions in live and virtual formats.
- Administer employee tuition assistance and fee remission programs in alignment with institutional policies.
- Process Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) and employment verification requests.
- Complete required monthly human resources compliance reports accurately and on time.
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee records in HR systems and paper files according to retention requirements.
- Coordinate and support the annual employee appreciation program and other employee engagement initiatives.
- Work collaboratively with Statewide Human Resources team members to ensure consistency in HR service delivery and communication.
- A bachelor's degree with 1\-3 years of relevant experience.
- An associate degree with 3\-5 years of relevant experience. Alternatively, additional years of experience (5\-8\) will be considered in lieu of an associate degree.

About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Assistant Director of Human Resources to support the daily delivery of human resources services for the Indianapolis Campus. In this role, you will apply established human resources policies, procedures, and practices to support employee relations, compliance, and core HR operations.
The Assistant Director plays a key role in supporting campus HR operations by assisting supervisors and employees across the employee lifecycle, ensuring compliance with employment requirements, supporting HR programs and initiatives, and contributing to consistent, service\-oriented HR practices.
