Overview:
The objective of this role is to provide Senior Executive Assistant administrative support to NTIA Bureau senior leadership, as described below. The tasks to be performed are directly related to achieving the NTIA Bureau mission.
There is a requirement for a Senior Executive Assistant to provide executive administrative support to the NTIA Office of Policy Coordination and Management.
Background:
The National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA), located within the Department of Commerce is the Executive Branch agency that is principally responsible by law for advising the President on telecommunications and information policy issues. NTIA's programs and policymaking focus largely on expanding broadband Internet access and adoption in America, expanding the use of spectrum by all users, and ensuring that the Internet remains an engine for continued innovation and economic growth. These goals are critical to America's competitiveness in the 21st century global economy and to addressing many of the nation's most pressing needs, such as improving education, health care, and public safety.
Responsibilities:
This role supports a senior executive operating in a high\-visibility, high\-pressure environment. Expectations for accuracy, responsiveness, and situational awareness are immediate. Successful candidates are comfortable working with limited ramp\-up time, navigating strong personalities, and maintaining meticulous attention to detail across a broad range of administrative responsibilities.
- Perform sensitive and highly visible administrative functions for a single federal Senior Executive, and possibly his/her immediate senior staff.
- May perform or have access to activities of a highly confidential nature that may require comprehensive knowledge of organizational policies, practices, and procedures.
- Oversee the executive's schedule, managing calendars, appointments, and meetings and handle the end\-to\-end travel process.
- Manage and facilitate all forms of correspondence for the executive, acting as the first point of contact.
- Draft and review/edit executive correspondence and prepare reports, ensuring high standards of verbal and written communication.
- Independently track action items, dependencies, and follow\-ups across multiple divisions and escalate risks proactively.
- Prepare, format, and convert high\-volume executive documents using Adobe Acrobat Pro and Microsoft Office Suite with minimal supervision.
- Operate general office equipment.
- Support ad hoc administrative and facilities\-related needs within the executive suite as required.
- Monitor executive meeting logistics, attendance, and follow\-up actions, including hybrid and multi\-stakeholder meetings.
- Manage sensitive information with discretion, adhering to confidentiality requirements.
- Oversee the administration of specialized programs within the executive's purview.
- Act on behalf of the executive when authorized.
- Other administrative duties/tasks as may be required.
- Demonstrated ability to perform effectively in a new position with minimal ramp\-up/training on tools (Ex: Adobe, MS Office Suite, etc.).
- Proven experience supporting senior executives in high\-pressure environments with competing priorities.
- High tolerance for ambiguity, shifting priorities, and overlapping administrative responsibilities.
- Strong professional judgment regarding discretion, executive communications, and record sensitivity.
- Thrives in fast\-paced, detail\-driven environments where expectations are immediate and evolving.
- Comfortable receiving direct, candid feedback and adjusting execution rapidly.

- Work to be performed on\-site at the U.S. Department of Commerce Headquarters, Herbert C. Hoover Building (HCHB), Washington, D.C.

Qualifications:
Approximately 8 or more years demonstrated experience providing executive\-level administrative support, including calendar management, travel management, correspondence drafting, and document reviews. Prior experience providing administrative support to federal Political Appointees and/or members of the Senior Executive Service is a must.*

Hours of Operation:
Under this task order, the Contractor is responsible for conducting business, Monday through Friday during normal business hours except Federal holidays or when the Government facility is closed due to local or national emergencies, administrative closings, or similar Government\-directed facility closings. The Executive Assistant must have flexibility to adjust his/her schedule to accommodate the supported Executive’s schedule/needs.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree, with a preference in Business Administration, Communications, or a related field. An additional 4 years of highly relevant work experience may be considered to substitute for lack of a bachelor’s degree.
Compensation:
The compensation range for this position is $33\.76 \- $56\.26 per hour. Compensation will be discussed in greater detail with candidates who advance in the interview process, allowing for a comprehensive evaluation of qualifications and alignment with role requirements. Compensation Disclaimer:
The salary range provided for this position represents a general guideline. Final compensation will be determined at the Company’s discretion based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to relevant experience, skills, education, internal equity, geographic location, and contract requirements. Not all candidates will be eligible for the upper end of the salary range.
Location and Work Hours:
This position is 100% on\-site and requires daily reporting to the following location: Department of Commerce1401 Constitution Ave. NWWashington, DC 20230\.
This role is not eligible for remote or telework arrangements. Candidates must reside within a reasonable commuting distance of the worksite and be able to reliably report on\-site as required.
This position follows a standard 40\-hour work week, Monday through Friday. Employees are expected to be available during core business hours of 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM EST, with additional working hours scheduled outside of core hours as needed to fulfill the full work schedule. The candidate must currently reside within commutable distance to the work location.
