GHT Insurance, a locally owned insurance agency, is looking for an Administrative Assistant to join our team here in the Richmond area. We are dedicated to superb service and delivering high quality solutions for both our personal and commercial line clients. The Administrative Assistant role is critical to keeping our organization running smoothly so that we can go the extra mile for our clients.
Responsibilities:
· Coordinating A/P and A/R activities with our third\-party bookkeeper
· Handling agency bill payables
· Taking care of remote deposits
· Auditing client account transactions on a daily basis
· Coordinating month end closing procedures
· Running payroll
· Handling benefits administration and onboarding new employees
· Processing communications logs
· Assisting agency leadership with a wide variety of general administrative needs and office support
Qualifications:
· 1\-2 years of experience in an administrative support role
· Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite
· Comfortable with various computer solutions for bookkeeping and customer interfaces
· Experience in the insurance industry a plus
· Highly effective communicator with both clients and internal staff
· Organized
· High school degree or equivalent (preferred)
Compensation:
Starting pay of $40 \- $45k/year, based on experience. We provide an outstanding benefits package, including health, dental, and vision insurance, STD, LTD, and life insurance, PTO, holidays, and a retirement plan.
Hours for this role are Monday to Friday, 8:30AM to 4:30 PM.
Pay: $40,000\.00 \- $45,000\.00 per year
