### The Role:

We are currently seeking an Accounts Payable Assistant for our Home Office team to support the day\-to\-day accounting operations of their assigned properties as well as perform a variety of accounting, administrative and organizational tasks for the accounting department. This position will report to the Controller.

What we will ask of you:

  • Assist AP and Accountants with data entry, restaurant invoice approvals, credit applications, reconciling and monitoring alcohol vendor invoicing.
  • Assist with pulling data for insurance files and audits.
  • Miscellaneous tasks that may include scanning, copying, storing accounting related documents, and ordering new checks when needed.
  • Monitor weekly payables/check runs.
  • Complete monthly expense reports.
  • Complete intercompany transaction entries.
  • Prepare weekly payments.
  • Assist the accounting department employees as needed or any other assigned duty deemed necessary by supervisor.
  • Requirements for Success:

  • Experience with Fintech and QuickBooks a bonus but not required.
  • College degree
  • Understanding of accounting
  • Strong computer skills including a working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel and Word.
  • Ability to multi\-task, problem\-solve and think logically in a fast\-paced environment.
  • Willingness to learn and take direction.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with personnel and customers at all discipline levels, both written and verbal
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion.
  • Able to work as a team player in a deadline driven environment with accuracy and organization.
  • Must have clear, concise written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must have excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Must always have professional presentation skills and demeanor.
