The IMA Group is seeking a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our Payer Services division as a Clinical File Review Specialist. This role supports an innovative clinical review model, allowing you to apply your expertise in a fully remote, non\-patient\-facing environment.

You will work closely with physician reviewers by synthesizing medical records and preparing structured case summaries that support final clinical determinations.

Compensation:

$120,000 – $150,000 annually, based on experience and licensure

What You’ll Do:

  • Review medical records across multiple specialties (orthopedics, internal medicine, neurology, cardiology, and more)
  • Analyze and synthesize complex clinical documentation into structured summaries
  • Identify key medical findings, inconsistencies, and gaps
  • Prepare draft report frameworks for physician review and sign\-off
  • Support case organization and complexity tiering
  • Collaborate with physician reviewers and QA teams
  • Maintain turnaround time and quality benchmarks
  • What You Bring:

  • Active, unrestricted
  • NP or PA license

  • 3\+ years of clinical experience (internal medicine, ortho, neuro, occupational medicine, or related fields preferred)
  • Strong medical record interpretation skills across specialties
  • Excellent written communication and analytical skills
  • Ability to thrive in a remote, technology\-driven environment
  • Preferred:

  • Experience in insurance medicine, disability, workers’ compensation, or IME/file review
  • Familiarity with payer guidelines, utilization review, or peer review processes
  • Experience with structured documentation tools or clinical technology platforms
  • Work Environment:

  • Fully remote (home office; equipment provided)
