- Ensure all operational testing of all Ballot systems hardware is complete, operational readiness items have been addressed, assist with deployment activities and provide post launch support of web\-based applications.
- Work closely with IT team to assure that all departments are working in sync to manage hardware/infrastructure and development needs.
- Onboard and train new temporary support personnel prior to election cycle, including offering either onsite or remote training to full\-time and temporary personnel.
- Provide administrative application oversight verifying that systems are continually working as expected and that voting tabulation machines and network are functioning within expected parameters.
- Initiate in the development and maintenance of an online Poll Worker training platform
- Work closely with the documentation \& training team to assist in creating user documentation, training materials, product usage documentation, logistical information, and help desk articles.
- Work onsite with other election personnel and assist in the installing and configuring of web applications when the County Clerk would prefer local hosting.
- Analyze, troubleshoot and resolve any product issues (hardware \& software) for all election computers and servers within the Board of Election office.
- Document and report all anomalies and issues encountered for all hardware and software products.
- Provide service to Development by conducting operational level testing of prototypes, collecting accurate data on system failures and developing practical field solutions to common problems.
- Identify tools that can improve the Voting Systems process with focus on increased efficiencies, cost effective solutions.
- Develop and maintain operational tools and utilities designed to automate manual tasks within Operations. Full SDLC process to be used incorporating a Scrum\-like process that involves requirement gathering, wire framing, development and testing.
- Supervise the entire ballot scanning process from inception to completion of an election cycle, develop deep security protocols and take responsibility of all personnel within the Ballot counting room.
- Work closely with Board of Elections Executive and Assistant director during the entire year
- Develop Security procedures and process of all election ballots both in house and at remote locations including site specific ballot drop boxes located throughout the County, this would include supervising the daily pick up of all election ballots, receiving the ballots and direct supervision of temporary personnel assigned to this mission.
- Collaborate and work closely with Election contracted third party providers of election machinery, hardware and electronics, workstations, software.
- Manage, implement and oversee the proprietary network for election scanning system with increased awareness of network air gapping and strict attention to server protection of scanning and adjunction systems, workstations and terminals.
Senior Elections IT Analyst
Education: At least 3\-5 years professional IT experience including on\-site project management and supervision of staff, vendors or sub\-contractors.
Experience:
Experience in a technical environment, with roles such as Technical/Customer Support, System Administrator (System installation, configuration, and maintenance), Network Administration, and Systems Analyst
Proficient with MS Office Suite and office communications including excel.
Knowledge and work experience of Networking and troubleshooting PC systems including, but not limited to:
Understanding of Server and Workstation system deployments
Experience with MS Operating Systems, including Windows Server
Advanced knowledge of TCP/IP networking and routing
Cisco ASA firewall configuration and troubleshooting
Advanced understanding of network communications (LAN/WAN/Cellular)
Working knowledge and application of system and network security concepts
SFTP and VPN concepts

Physical Demands:
Prolonged activity including sitting at a desk at the computer/phone for long periods of time or walking and standing for long periods of time will be required. Lifting of equipment (55 pounds or less) is required; scanning of ballots may be repetitive for long hours during election cycle counting. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision and depth perception.
Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to moving Electro/mechanical parts and noise. Must be able to work in non\-climate\-controlled work areas such as hot, cold and humid conditions.
