Duties
- Process payroll using systems such as Workday, ADP, Paychex, UltiPro, Kronos, Ceridian, or PeopleSoft, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Reconcile payroll data by performing account reconciliations and verifying debits \& credits within various accounting software including QuickBooks and other financial tools
- Maintain detailed records of employee hours, benefits administration, tax information, and payroll transactions
- Prepare journal entries related to payroll expenses and ensure proper posting in the general ledger accounting system
- Collaborate with HR to update employee information within HRIS platforms and ensure compliance with company policies
- Assist with benefits administration tasks such as enrollments, changes, and terminations while ensuring data accuracy
- Support governmental reporting requirements by preparing necessary documentation for tax filings and audits related to payroll and non\-profit accounting
- Proficiency in payroll management systems such as Workday, ADP, Paychex, Kronos, UltiPro, Ceridian, or PeopleSoft
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles including double entry bookkeeping, general ledger reconciliation, debits \& credits, and journal entries
- Experience with financial software like QuickBooks or similar tools for bookkeeping and account reconciliation
- Familiarity with human resources processes including benefits administration and HRIS platforms
- Excellent data entry skills with high accuracy (10 key typing) and attention to detail
- Understanding of tax regulations related to payroll processing and governmental accounting standards
- Ability to analyze financial data effectively using analysis skills to identify discrepancies or errors in payroll records
