Overview

We are seeking a detail\-oriented and proactive Legal Assistant to join our Personal Injury law firm. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop legal expertise while providing essential administrative support in a fast\-paced legal environment. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong organizational skills, excellent research abilities, and proficiency with legal software and document management systems.

Duties

  • Assist attorneys with legal research using Westlaw, Lexisnexis and other legal databases.
  • Manage case files and document review processes utilizing document management systems such as iManage and PCLaw.
  • Maintain accurate case management records and ensure timely filing of documents in compliance with court deadlines.
  • Organize and coordinate meetings, appointments, and court filings while maintaining confidentiality.
  • Provide executive administrative support including calendar management, phone etiquette, and organizational tasks.
  • Perform clerical duties such as filing, data entry, and document management to ensure smooth office operations.
  • Requirements

  • Paralegal experience or legal administrative experience is highly preferred.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently.
  • Effective interviewing skills for client intake processes.
  • Ability to handle confidential information discreetly and professionally.
  • Strong clerical skills including data entry, filing, transcription, and general administrative support.
  • Exceptional phone etiquette combined with excellent organizational skills to coordinate schedules effectively.
