- Recording and maintaining our parish data system, Ministry Platform, and updating registrations, mailings, and accurate recordkeeping of active/inactive files.
- Welcoming warmly parish office visitors during normal business hours
- Answering telephone calls and emails, and coordinating the parish communications, including social media pages, the parish website, the weekly parish e\-blast, and quarterly newsletters
- Composing, typing, editing, and sending out weekly bulletins
- Recording and scheduling all Mass intentions
- Preparing and submitting Archdiocesan and parish reports
- Participating in, and taking minutes at, parish council and staff meetings
- Organizing the monthly hospitality Sundays
- Maintaining and ordering office and liturgical supplies
- Providing sacramental records as requested
- Selling SCRIP cards as needed
- Other duties as assigned
- A welcoming and friendly presence
- Familiarity with the Mission of the Catholic Church
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Canva, and Ministry Platform is preferred, or at least an ability to learn these skills

Job Description for Administrative / Communications Assistant at Saint Margaret of Antioch Parish in Narberth, PA
SUMMARY PURPOSE OF THIS POSITION
The purpose of this position is to serve as a trusted and confidential administrative assistant to the pastor; to collaborate with the pastor, staff members, and the parish community in implementing the mission of the parish, to coordinate parish communications; and to perform assigned administrative duties.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS
The Administrative Assistant is responsible for:
WORKING CONDITIONS
The position is a full\-time position (40 hours per week) with all eligible medical benefits and life insurance, annual, sick, and personal leave time as prescribed by the pastor. The Administrative Assistant reports directly to the Pastor and works in collaboration with him, the parish staff, and volunteers.
