About the Role:
We're looking for a detail\-oriented Staff Accountant to join our Finance \& Accounting team. In this role, you'll own the full payroll cycle and support financial reporting — working closely with the Controller to keep our numbers accurate, our people paid on time, and our books in order. This position requires consistent availability Monday through Friday during regular business hours (9 am–3 pm). While fully remote, we prefer candidates within one of our established areas to help build community.
COMPENSATION \& BENEFITS:
Base Salary
- $56,250 for the part\-time (30\-hour) role

- Manage the full bi\-weekly payroll cycle, including expense and additional compensation approvals
- Collaborate with the Controller to prepare monthly and quarterly financial management reports
- Track referrals and accrue salaries, bonuses, and profit shares
- Manage compensation updates, including salary changes, pre\-tax deductions, and 401(k) contributions
- Oversee non\-billable hours and overtime tracking and payment
- Submit and approve payroll registers
- Weekly review of client accounts receivable and follow up on failed payments and past due balances
- Oversee accounts payable processes, including invoice review, coding, approvals, and timely payment processing
- Process monthly corporate credit card activity, including gathering supporting documentation, coding transactions, and recording entries
- Process and record customer refunds, ensuring proper documentation and accurate financial reporting
- Weekly review of employee expenses submitted for reimbursement
- Create and oversee seasonal customer invoices in Intacct as requested
- Provide responsive, high\-quality customer service, addressing payroll, expense reimbursements, billing inquiries, etc.

- You'have 2\+ years of experience in payroll, bookkeeping, and/or accounting
- You enjoy deciphering the story behind the numbers and have Intermediate Excel skills
- You take pride in getting payroll right — accuracy and timeliness feel personal to you
- You communicate clearly and proactively, especially when something needs attention
- You thrive in a remote environment and hold yourself accountable without close supervision

- You have strong organizational systems in place to ensure things get done.
