AIDS Foundation Chicago (AFC) is a community‑rooted organization committed to health justice, housing stability, and improving the lives of people living with or affected by HIV. We work alongside individuals, families, and community partners to expand access to care, reduce health disparities, and uplift the voices of those most impacted. AFC’s Research and Evaluation team plays a key role in this mission by conducting community‑engaged research that informs programs, strengthens services, and supports evidence‑based advocacy.
The Research and Evaluation Assistant supports an NIH‑funded study through participant recruitment, data collection, and data entry, with a focus on the Proyecto Luz survey. This is a remote role with regular in‑person fieldwork—typically once per week or at least twice per month—and requires the ability to travel locally within Chicago and surrounding collar counties (personal vehicle not required; local travel reimbursed). The first several days of onboarding will take place in‑office. The ideal candidate is fluent in Spanish, familiar with or part of the communities served, and has experience with research or data collection. This temporary, part‑time position is well‑suited for students or early‑career professionals but is open to all qualified applicants.
