Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail\-oriented Accounting Clerk/Administrative Assistant to join our finance team. Duties
- Perform data entry and maintain accurate records using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or Workday.
- Assist with accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely invoice processing and payment reconciliation.
- Conduct balance sheet reconciliations, account analysis, and general ledger entries to ensure financial accuracy.
- Support payroll management activities using systems like ADP, Paychex, Kronos, or UltiPro, including processing payroll and verifying employee hours.
- Prepare journal entries, perform account reconciliations, and assist with month\-end closing procedures in accordance with GAAP standards.
- Manage administrative tasks such as filing, correspondence, scheduling meetings, and supporting internal audits or compliance reviews.
- Collaborate with the finance team on budgeting, tax preparation, and financial reporting activities for governmental or non\-profit accounting environments.
- Proven experience in corporate accounting or governmental accounting environments with a strong understanding of financial concepts.
- Hands\-on experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, PeopleSoft, Ceridian, or similar platforms.
- Familiarity with payroll systems including ADP, Paychex, Kronos, or UltiPro is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of SOX compliance requirements and technical accounting principles is a plus.
- Strong skills in data entry, double\-entry bookkeeping, account reconciliation, and balance sheet analysis.
- Basic proficiency in math and financial analysis techniques such as credit analysis and budgeting.
