Description of Work
The Standards Division is a regulatory agency responsible for enforcing the North Carolina Weights and Measures Act (G.S. 81A), the Gasoline and Oil Inspection Law (G.S. 119\), and the LP\-Gas Inspection Law (G.S. 119 Article 5\).
Duty Station: Steve Troxler Agricultural Sciences Center, 4400 Reedy Creek Rd., Raleigh.
Seeking motivated self\-starter for administrative, fiscal, human resource management, and employee safety and health, responsibilities for the Standards Division. In addition, this position provides support to the Division Director and four program managers. Critical duties include use of NEOGOV and Beacon for personnel actions, vacancy postings, and time entry. Financial responsibilities include the Division’s budget monitoring and revisions. Additionally, this individual serves as the primary purchaser of goods and services through the E\-procurement system, completes purchasing card reconciliation, is responsible for paying invoices, and completing travel reimbursements and BDA’s. This person is also responsible for inventory control including the Fixed Asset System (FAS), State Surplus Property, and the Division’s Vehicle and Equipment database. This position is often the initial contact for the public, legislators or other divisions or agencies in these areas. Handles confidential reports, correspondence, and file retention schedules. Supervises two office clerical positions and is responsible for conducting their performance evaluations.
This position currently qualifies for a hybrid telework option consisting of three in\-person routine office workdays and two remote workdays, after a successful training period. Telework options are subject to change at the discretion of management.

Recruitment Range: $45,431 \- $59,740
- Knowledge of Human Resources policies and procedures.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to plan, instruct and supervise the work of others.
- Ability to prioritize work duties and to work independently to meet deadlines.
- Basic knowledge of accounting, budgeting, and purchasing practices with Experience in NCFS, E\-Procurement, Beacon, Workday, and budgeting software.

Minimum Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree from an appropriately accredited institution and one year of experience in HR, budgeting, research or administrative management; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
