Xela Pack, an industry leader in environmentally conscious packaging, is looking for a responsible in\-person Administrative Assistant to perform a variety of administrative and clerical tasks. Duties of the Administrative Assistant include providing support to our Sales Department, assisting in daily office needs and managing our company’s general administrative activities. The ideal candidate should have great oral and written communication skills and be able to prioritize and organize their work in a fast\-paced, quickly changing environment. Much have excellent computer skills and a familiarity with office equipment. Some tasks are similar every day and others will be required as needed which keeps the job interesting. Good time management is important. Ultimately, a successful Administrative Assistant should ensure the efficient and smooth day\-to\-day operation of our Sales Department.

Responsibilities

Support the outside Sales staff and customer service departments

Work closely with the Director of Sales to maintain an organized efficient department

Maintain the customer contact database

Act as a liaison from the Sales Reps to the various internal departments

Organize and schedule appointments

Plan meetings and take notes

Assist in the preparation of regularly scheduled reports and yearly reports

Prepare and send sample packages to customers

Maintain sales samples and prep for trade shows

Provide general support to visitors

Act as the point of contact for Sales Reps for all needs

Skills

  • Proven experience as an administrative assistant or office admin assistant
  • Knowledge of office management systems and procedures
  • Proficiency in MS Office (MS Excel and MS PowerPoint, in particular)
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work
  • Attention to detail and problem solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi\-task
  • High School degree; some college, or additional qualification as an Administrative assistant will be a plus

    Pay: $19\.00 \- $20\.00 per hour
