  • Under general supervision of the Information Technology (IT) Department’s PeopleSoft Technical Supervisor, designs, codes, tests, documents and maintains high quality modifications to the PeopleSoft Financials and HR applications in support of the SRPMIC general business. Assists the PeopleSoft Technical Supervisor with establishing standards and techniques for improving the application development processes and monitors those processes to ensure compliance. Identifies and utilizes software development Best Practices to meet internal and external customer requirements. Maximizes the productivity of the project team and the maintainability of Oracle PeopleSoft Enterprise (PS) applications. The Senior PeopleSoft Developer leads project activities such as application upgrades, application of payroll tax updates and implementation of new PS modules and functionality. Provides mentoring and leadership to the PS Support staff. This job class is treated as FLSA Exempt. Distinguishing Features: The Senior PeopleSoft Developer is distinguished from the PeopleSoft Developer II by providing senior level technical leadership and assuming responsibility for more complex and difficult PS application development tasks. Assumes a mentoring role and helps the PeopleSoft Technical Supervisor coordinate development staff workflow. Provides project management for development design and implementation tasks and accepts customer service challenges that have been elevated by the PS Support staff.   • 1\. Mentors the PS Application Development staff so they attain the technical and customer service skills along with experience necessary to perform independently and attain further career progression goals.

  • Provides technical leadership, cooperation and solutions working with the PS Finance and HR project teams on data interface, messaging and information transfer issues.
  • Provide senior technical knowledge to IT and the PS project team.
  • 2\. Helps coordinate the workflow of the PS Application Development staff. Assists the PeopleSoft Technical Supervisor establish work unit performance standards and deliverables.

    3\. Assists with the definition, implementation and maintenance of the PS development and production architecture and environments.

    4\. Provides project management for PS technical design, development and maintenance. Works cooperatively with PS and IT project teams to schedule and track tasks and complete duties.

    5\. Provides the PS Application Development group’s “Level III” customer support by assisting with, and resolving, customer\-reported problems with the PS Financials and HR applications including, but not limited to, code bugs, deployment, user access, security and maintenance.

    6\. Establishes and adheres to PS and IT department security policies and procedures.

  • Monitors compliance to PeopleSoft security policies by all departments.
  • Updates SRPMIC data management system security policies as new Best Practices emerge and are adopted by the computer network.
  • 7\. Provides overall production support for the PS Financial and HR applications including, but not limited to, troubleshooting, user interaction, vendor support, documentation and program coding.

    8\. Performs development functions that include the creation of custom reports, table/view creation, user/security management, PeopleCode design, batch processing program development, user\-defined rules creation and other duties as assigned.

    9\. Assists the PeopleSoft Technical Supervisor with the technical direction for the PS Financial and HR project teams including setting priorities, coordinating and reporting of team activities.

  • Provides periodic project status updates.
  • 10\. Coordinates with PeopleSoft Technical Supervisor to avoid duplication of effort and overstepping roles.

    11\. Performs other job\-related duties as assigned by the PeopleSoft Technical Supervisor, PeopleSoft Manager, Assistant IT Director (Applications and PMO) or IT Director/CIO.

    Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Other Characteristics:

  • Knowledge of the history, culture, laws, rules, customs, and traditions of the Salt River Pima\-Maricopa Indian Community.
  • Knowledge of PeopleSoft PeopleTools including Application Designer, PeopleCode, SQR, Application Engine, Integration Broker, Component Interface and PeopleSoft Query.
  • Knowledge of database design best practices, performance tuning and data normalization rules.
  • Knowledge of general application integration principles and techniques.
  • Knowledge of PeopleSoft Financials modules such as GL, AP, AR, Billing, Asset Management, ePro, Commitment Control, Project Costing, Purchasing, Supplier Administration.
  • Knowledge of PeopleSoft HR modules such as Core HR, Payroll for North America, Position Management, Time and Labor, Base Benefits and eBenefits.
  • Specific Knowledge of PeopleTools FLUID UI elements, such as Navigation, NavCollections, Tiles, Activity Guides, and FLUID Approvals.
  • Knowledge of PeopleSoft Integration Broker, Application Messaging SOAP and REST using XML and JSON.
  • Knowledge of Gideon Taylor eForms Framework.
  • Knowledge of enterprise architecture concepts such as n\-tier applications, clustered environments, and distributed computing.
  • Knowledge of current Microsoft SQL Server technologies including both database and analytics engines.
  • Knowledge of SRPMIC Tribal Government standard operating systems software including Microsoft Windows in both a desktop and server environment.
  • Knowledge of common integration tools, patterns and techniques.
  • Knowledge of project management Best Practices.
  • Skill working with full stack PeopleTools development at version 8\.59 or later, in both a project implementation and a production support role.
  • Skill packaging, documenting, and migrating PeopleTools development projects, including Application Designer projects, Data Migration Workbench projects, Data Mover scripts and data files, SQL Conversion scripts, and manual instructions.
  • Skill documenting technical artifacts in a well formatted and thorough manner using Microsoft Office tools.
  • Skill testing at various levels such as Unit, UAT, and project System testing, including designing test cycles, data, and test automation.
  • Skill working in a Microsoft environment.
  • Skill working with SQL Server as well as database design and performance tuning.
  • Skill establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with project team members, business partners, customers, vendors, direct reports and superiors.
  • Skill with verbal and written communication.
  • Skill leading a small cross\-functional project team.
  • Ability to analyze data, draw logical conclusions and makes sound decisions and recommendations.
  • Ability to utilize problem solving techniques, improvisation and creativity to accomplish goals.

  • Minimum Qualifications

  • * Education \& Experience: A Bachelor’s Degree from accredited college or university in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering or related discipline required.

  • Five (5\) years’ experience with PeopleSoft development experience is required with demonstrated successful experience with as many of the following as possible preferred:
  • General development, integration and support of business applications.
  • Oracle/PeopleSoft development experience in a production support capacity.
  • Integration of PeopleSoft modules to external applications through the use of industry standard tools and techniques.
  • MS SQL Server 2016 or higher (including both database and analytics engines).
  • Data conversion and end user training.
  • Experience with creating Application Support senior level documentation.
  • Experience with: Oracle/PeopleSoft Development tools (including PeopleTools, Application Designer, PeopleCode, Application Engine, SQR, Component Interface, Integration Broker, FLUID User Interface, AWE, PTF, and PS Query).
  • Experience with leveraging PeopleTools and application tools and frameworks for avoiding base level customizations to delivered logic and processing (including but not limited to Page and Field Configurator, Drop Zones, AWE process definition configurations, Event Mapping, etc…).
  • * Equivalency: Any equivalent combination of education and/or experience that would allow the candidate to satisfactorily perform the duties of this position, will be considered.

    * Underfill Eligibility: An enrolled Community Member whom closely qualifies for the minimum qualifications for a position may be considered for employment under SRPMIC Policy 2\-19, Underfill.

  • + May be required to receive and maintain a Salt River Pima\-Maricopa Indian Community, Community Regulatory License and State Certification (ADOG).
