Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and organized Part\-time Church Secretary to join our vibrant faith community. This vital role involves managing administrative tasks, supporting church operations, and ensuring smooth communication between staff, congregation members, and visitors. The ideal candidate will bring enthusiasm, attention to detail, and excellent organizational skills to foster a welcoming and efficient church environment. Duties

  • Manage the church’s front desk operations, greeting visitors and congregation members warmly and professionally
  • Answer multi\-line phone systems promptly, directing calls accurately and courteously
  • Maintain accurate records through data entry, filing, and document management using Microsoft Office and Google Workspace tools
  • Schedule appointments, meetings, and events while managing the church calendar with precision
  • Handle bookkeeping responsibilities using church software for donations, payments, and expense tracking
  • Support office management tasks such as proofreading communications, organizing files, and maintaining supplies
  • Provide exceptional customer support by addressing inquiries via phone or email with professionalism and kindness
  • Skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Google Workspace applications
  • Strong office management experience with excellent organizational skills and time management abilities
  • Familiarity with bookkeeping and financial record\-keeping
  • Experience with multi\-line phone systems and phone etiquette to ensure clear communication
  • Clerical experience including data entry, filing, proofreading, and general administrative support
  • Personal assistant or office support experience with calendar management and scheduling expertise
  • Demonstrated ability to handle customer service interactions with professionalism and patience
  • Computer literacy combined with strong organizational skills to streamline office workflows
