About Rise Up Music Group
Rise Up Music Group is an independent record label with over a decade of proven results in the music industry, led by CEO Kendall Walker. The company has earned national recognition, including features in The Source Magazine, and has built a reputation for developing independent artists into real, revenue\-generating brands.
Through its campaigns, Rise Up has contributed to charting releases on the iTunes Top 100, secured radio placements across multiple markets, and generated measurable growth for artists through marketing, promotion, and brand development. The company operates on a structured, scalable system that combines outbound sales, artist development, and media strategy—allowing it to consistently onboard and grow new talent each month.
This is a proven system with real results, now expanding through a pipeline of high\-performing interns and future hires.
Role Overview
This is a high\-responsibility internship working directly with the CEO.
As an Executive Assistant Intern, you will support day\-to\-day operations while also helping manage internal workflows across departments including marketing, content, design, promotions, and booking.
You will act as the CEO’s right hand, ensuring everything stays organized, scheduled, and executed. This role combines executive support and project management, giving you real exposure to how a growing company operates behind the scenes.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Manage CEO calendar (schedule calls, meetings, and follow\-ups)
- Coordinate with A\&Rs, interns, and artists for scheduling and communication
- Track team activity, performance, and task completion
- Organize and assign tasks across departments when needed
- Ensure deadlines are met and deliverables are completed
- Maintain internal systems (Connecteam, spreadsheets, task tracking)
- Assist with onboarding new artists (documents, scheduling, communication)
- Prepare notes before and after meetings and track action items
- Identify inefficiencies or missed tasks and communicate them clearly
- Help keep all teams aligned and operating efficiently
- Direct, hands\-on experience working inside a real music label environment
- Exposure to executive\-level decision making and daily operations
- Practical training in project management, team coordination, and business execution
- The opportunity to work on real artists, real campaigns, and active projects
- Development of leadership, communication, and organizational skills in a fast\-paced setting
- A proven track record of execution you can leverage for future opportunities
- A clear path to transition into a paid role within the company based on performance
- Starting salary for hired candidates: $36,000 annually
- Individuals who are serious about earning a long\-term opportunity, not just completing an internship
- Highly organized, detail\-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities
- Strong communicators who can operate professionally across teams
- Self\-driven individuals who take initiative and don’t wait for direction
- People who are comfortable being held to performance standards and accountability
- Motivated to learn, execute, and contribute to real business operations
- Interested in building a career in business, operations, or the music industry
- Individuals primarily seeking immediate paid employment rather than a pipeline\-based opportunity
- Those not interested in a non\-paid internship focused on training, development, and real execution
- People who need constant direction instead of taking initiative and ownership
- Individuals who struggle with consistency, follow\-through, or meeting deadlines
- Anyone looking for a passive, low\-effort experience rather than a hands\-on role with real responsibility
- Those who are not comfortable being evaluated on performance for a direct\-to\-hire opportunity
- Flexible schedule
