Summary:
The General Manager will be responsible for managing all the daily operations of the business, which include, but are not limited to, guest satisfaction, upholding employee service standards, cleanliness and appearance, quality controls, financial reporting, and general administrative responsibilities. The General Manager will be responsible for overseeing all employees who report directly to him/her. The General Manager will report directly to the Owner(s).
Essential Duties \& Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee the daily operations, ensuring adherence to company standards, policies and core values.
- Develop and implement strategies to drive sales growth and meet revenue, cost of goods and labor targets.
- Recruit, train, and develop high\-performing teams, fostering a culture of excellence, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
- Monitor and analyze key performance metrics, such as sales, customer satisfaction, and operational efficiency, to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, cleanliness, and health regulations
- Foster positive relationships with employees, customers, and stakeholders, resolving any issues or concerns in a timely and professional manner.
- Collaborate with our team to share best practices, adhere to our core values, drive operational excellence, and achieve company goals.
- Prepare and analyze weekly KPI’s and present the information to the partners on a weekly, and monthly basis.
- Participate in leadership meetings as well as in\-store staff meetings as needed.
- Maintain management systems for all staff. As well as, but not limited to the crew members, shift leaders, and assistant managers
- Monitor and maintain a training schedule for all staff and management to be completed with a formal evaluation report.
- Maintain a record of performance evaluation of each staff and management member, which will include service standards and product knowledge.
- communicate with staff and management on any new directives from ownership
- Monitor guest satisfaction through in person interaction, and all online review platforms
- Hold weekly meetings with supervisors and staff as needed
- Monitor performance on a weekly basis of all KPI’s pertaining to the business
- Build and maintain guest relationships, and be a personality within the business for all guests
- Anticipate any issues and act quickly to resolve problems before they affect the guest experience
- Maintain cash management systems with supervisors providing accountability on collecting and depositing cash on a daily or weekly basis
- Monitor all comps/voids on a daily and weekly basis and discuss any % of discounts above an acceptable level
- Monitor all tip %’s on a daily and weekly basis and discuss any % of tips above an acceptable level
- Review labor and staffing on a weekly basis with ownership and take corrective action as needed
- Create management systems to ensure operational soundness of all catering activities
- Monitor daily checklists for quality and completion, including all opening and closing procedures
- Monitor and maintain all inventory procedure, including but not limited to inventory, ordering, and intake procedures
- Lead weekly meetings and report on all responsibilities outlined in this description, as well as other issues that may arise
- Implement new and effective processes to help with quality control of product and operations for the business
- Perform office management responsibilities that include organizing, filing, word processing, and excel spreadsheet data entry
- Be responsible for running reports within the POS on a daily and weekly basis, and organizing and presenting the information.
