Position: Part\-Time Trauma Therapist (AMFT, APCC, ACSW, Psychological Assistant)

Location: San Luis Obispo, CA (in\-person office)

Pay Range: $40\-50/hour

Position Overview

We are seeking an Associate Therapist or Psychological Associate who is passionate about working with adults in individual therapy using trauma modalities. This role is best suited for someone who already has a foundation in trauma therapy modalities and values ongoing professional growth. A 40\-hour EMDR training is required and must be completed prior to starting the position; this training will be provided at no cost.

This is a part\-time position, with a flexible caseload of 15–25 client hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual therapy for adults using a trauma\-informed approach
• Build therapeutic relationships with clients rooted in compassion, authenticity, and empathy
• Engage in training and supervision to learn and integrate trauma\-focused modalities
• Maintain timely and accurate documentation
• Attend paid weekly supervision meetings
• Participate in continuing education and training opportunities supported by the practice

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or higher in counseling, psychology, social work, or a related field
• Registered AMFT, APCC, ACSW in California
• Prior training in trauma\-informed modalities
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Commitment to growth, learning, and working within a supportive team environment

Compensation \& Benefits

• Competitive pay:
$40\-50/hour same rate for clinical, supervision, documentation, and admin time (Most other practices pay a very low rate for admin time)
• Potential for raises based on time worked as well as increased training in specific trauma modalities (e.g., EMDR, IFS, Somatic)
