    DESCRIPTION OF WORK

  • As a Clerical Assistant 2, you will supervise operations of the Centralized Timekeeping Office within the Residential Living Area Units of the Ebensburg Center which includes multiple Clerical Assistant 2 and Clerical Assistant 3 staff. You will ensure all time and attendance activities are conducted efficiently and in the most cost\-effective manner. In addition, you will streamline workflow for clerical staff and recommend improvements that optimize operations. Key duties will include:

  • Planning, organizing, and assigning work to staff based on priorities and adjusting work to meet changing priorities and deadlines
  • Reviewing staff work for accuracy and compliance to policies and procedures
  • Completing Employee Performance Reviews (EPRs), updating position descriptions, and investigating accident reports and grievances
  • Training employees in office procedures, document processing, and equipment operation and maintenance
  • Auditing time and attendance records for all separations and retirements
  • Corresponding with supervisors, managers, and employees to obtain information or resolve problematic time and attendance issues to meet payroll deadlines

  • Full\-time employment, 37\.5 hours per week
  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday \- Friday, with a 30\-minute lunch. Your schedule may change based on operational needs.

  • REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING \& ELIGIBILITY

  • QUALIFICATIONSMinimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • One year as a Clerical Supervisor 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration);
  • or

  • One year as a Clerical Assistant 3 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration);
  • or

  • Two years of as a Clerical Assistant 2 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration);
  • or

  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.
  • Other Requirements:

  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.
  • Legal Requirements:

  • A conditional offer of employment will require medical examination.
  • This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
