We are seeking a detail\-oriented and dependable Law Enforcement Editor/Proofreader to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for editing voice recognition\-generated drafts of law enforcement\-related interviews. This role requires a strong command of English, excellent grammar and punctuation skills, and the ability to adhere to strict confidentiality standards. Flexible hours. Contractor (1099\) position.

\\Role and Responsibilities:\\

  • \- Review, edit, and proofread Internal Affairs transcripts from voice recognition to ensure accuracy and clarity.
  • \- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • \- Ensure consistency in terminology, format, and style.
  • \- Meet deadlines without compromising quality.
  • \- Must meet a minimum monthly output of
  • 10 audio hours.

    \\Qualifications:\\

  • \- Previous editing or transcription experience preferred, especially in a law enforcement setting.
  • \- Exceptional attention to detail.
  • \- Strong command of the English language and grammar.
  • \- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • \- Familiarity with law enforcement terminology is a plus.
  • \-Must have a foot pedal.
  • \*Due to regulatory and compliance considerations, we are not able to hire or onboard candidates residing outside of the United States or in California, New Jersey, or Massachusetts at this time.
