Overview
As the Executive Assistant to the CEO, you will serve as a trusted partner and central connector across the CEO, Board of Trustees, and OSBA staff. You will operate at the intersection of governance, strategy, and execution, helping translate priorities into action and ensuring the organization runs smoothly, responsively, and with purpose.
In this role, you will play a critical part in managing executive workflow, supporting board and committee operations, and strengthening organizational effectiveness. Beyond administrative responsibilities, you will contribute to strategic initiatives, support decision\-making, and help ensure OSBA remains coordinated, aligned, and member focused. Your work will directly influence how leadership functions, how communication flows, and how effectively OSBA delivers on its mission.
What You Will Do
Executive and Strategic Support
- Partner closely with the CEO to manage priorities, workflow, and key initiatives
- Prepare briefing materials, correspondence, and reports that support executive decision\-making
- Anticipate needs, identify challenges, and proactively develop solutions
- Coordinate and support Board of Trustees and committee operations
- Prepare agendas, materials, minutes, and follow\-up actions
- Serve as a liaison between the CEO, Board members, and internal teams
- Facilitate communication and alignment across divisions and leadership
- Manage complex scheduling and ensure priorities are executed effectively
- Support cross\-functional initiatives and organizational projects
- Maintain governance records and documentation
- Coordinate travel and logistics for executive leadership and Board members
- Contribute to continuous improvement of processes and organizational practices
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Demonstrated analytical and problem\-solving skills that support innovative recommendations
- Experience supporting school district central office leadership, senior executive leaders and/or governing boards
- Understanding of governance, public sector, or education environments
- Strong sense of accountability, ownership, and follow\-through
- Knowledge of educational policy preferred
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
- Repetitive hand motion

What You Bring
* Experience: 5–7 years of progressively responsible experience in executive support, governance support, or organizational leadership environments
* Excellent Judgement and Discretion: Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism
* Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication with the ability to represent leadership effectively
* Organization and Execution: Exceptional ability to manage competing priorities, details, and deadlines
* Relationship Skills: Ability to build trust and work effectively with executives, board members, and staff
* Problem\-Solving: Proactive, solutions\-oriented mindset with the ability to anticipate needs and resolve issue
* Valid driver’s license
