- Provide general administrative support (filing, data entry, document preparation)
- Assist with scheduling meetings, preparing agendas, and taking minutes
- Conduct research and compile reports on city programs, policies, or community issues
- Help manage records in compliance with public records laws
- Support communication efforts (emails, newsletters, website updates, social media)
- Assist with special projects such as community events, surveys, or departmental initiatives
- Provide customer service by answering phones and assisting residents at service counters.

IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR: Assistant City Administrator
DIRECTION OF OTHERS: None
NATURE OF WORK: Provide support to the Administration team and gain hands\-on experience in various aspects of City Administration, including clerical, research, and project\-based tasks. This internship will provide you with valuable exposure to the field of local government administration, public service, and municipal operations.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications: Must have a valid driver's license. Successful candidates will have some post\-secondary education from a program in public administration, political science, business, or a related field. Must be proficient in the use of computer equipment and software including word processing and web\-based systems.
Preferred Qualifications: Strong organizational, attention to detail, and customer service skills.
Hours of Work/Physical and Mental Demands
Hours of Work:Position will work in the office and have flexibility in schedule within regular business hours of 8am – 4:30pm. Temporary position could work up to 40 hours per week.
Physical and Mental Demands:Position requires reaching, standing, walking, fingering, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, seeing and repetitive motions.
Sedentary Work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time.
