Essential Functions

- Excellent people skills
- 1 year of commercial HVAC experience as a technician, service manager, inside sales or other function that demonstrated experience with commercial HVAC equipment
- Self\-motivated
- Maintain regular attendance
- Handle customer issues and adjust concerning billing or service
- Work in a high volume, high paced environment
- Maintain or assist in maintaining assigned files and records; receive and process information according to established guidelines and procedures
- Interpret field findings and translate them into accurate, detailed customer proposals
- Develop cost estimates for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontracted work
- Source pricing for parts and equipment from vendors and manufacturers
- Build clear, professional quotes for repairs, replacements, and upgrades
- Ensure scope of work is accurate, complete, and aligned with technician recommendations
- Communicate with field technicians to clarify scope, photos, and job conditions as needed
- Prioritize and manage multiple quotes to meet turnaround time expectations
- Submit proposals to customers and follow up to drive approval and close rates
- Coordinate with service managers and operations teams on pricing strategy and job feasibility
- Track quote status, approvals, and pending opportunities in CRM or service software
- Revise and update proposals based on customer feedback or scope changes
- Maintain organized documentation of quotes, pricing, and job history
- Support maintenance agreement findings and capital planning recommendations
- Assist in standardizing pricing templates and improving quoting efficiency
- Perform a variety of clerical support duties as assigned; type correspondence, memos and other items; compile data from clearly defined sources and prepare reports; answer telephone calls, route calls or messages

The Service Writer works in the corporate office if local to Atlanta, or remote if not local.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full\-time position, with typically Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:000 PM hours. Occasional after\-hours customer support may be necessary.
