We are seeking a reliable and detail\-oriented Therapy Office Assistant to join our team and support the smooth operation of our clinic. The Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) credential is required, after hire, for this position.
Job Summary:
The Therapy Office Assistant will be responsible for providing ABA therapy to chidlren as needed, as well as, performing a variety of administrative and clerical tasks to ensure the office runs efficiently, in the clinic setting. This role is vital in supporting our therapists, clients, and administrative staff to maintain a professional, organized, and welcoming environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet clients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner
- Answer and direct phone calls and emails to appropriate staff
- Facilitate the intake process for potential clients
- Maintain accurate client records and files, ensuring HIPAA compliance
- Assist with insurance verifications and data entry into client management systems
- Manage office supplies and maintain inventory
- Support onboarding processes for new hires, including collecting documentation
- Communicate with parents and caregivers regarding scheduling and required forms
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming front office and waiting area
- Support clinician and clients during center\-based sessions.
- Provide ABA Therapy with clients (one on one or in a group) as needed.
- Must be able least 18 years old
- High school diploma or equivalent required;
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and scheduling software
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

- Experience with computer programs and platforms, Google and Microsoft,

Physical Requirements:
* Mobility: Must be able to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods, sometimes up to 6\-8 hours daily.
* Lifting and Carrying: the therapy office assistant may be required to lift and carry items like toys, materials, and physically assist clients, potentially up to 50 pounds.
* Intervention: Must be able to physically intervene in situations, including responding to aggressive behaviors, blocking, redirecting, and potentially even physically supporting clients.
* Strength and Endurance: The job can be physically demanding, requiring the ability to move quickly and respond to situations requiring physical intervention, such as student elopement or altercations.
* Other Physical Demands:This may include crouching, crawling, kneeling, and quick pivoting motions.
* Visual and Auditory Acuity:Must be able to clearly see and hear clients, staff, and others in the workplace.
* Manual Dexterity:Fine motor skills are needed for tasks like operating office equipment and interacting with clients.
